How To: WRITE A BOOK REPORT
A book
report is used to show your comprehension of a story as well as your thoughts and
opinions. The entire report should be 5-6 paragraphs long and should end with a
signed statement that says, “I have read this entire book.”
Remember: Writing a
paragraph – Each paragraph that you write should have 5-8 sentences and
should have a theme. Your first sentence in each paragraph should be your topic
sentence, and each sentence after it should be giving more details about that
topic. If you switch to a different topic you should switch to a new paragraph!
Also, do not forget to indent the first line!
